Join A Small Group!

“It is not good for man to be alone.” Genesis 2:18 (NLT)

Small groups have been dismissed for the summer and will resume in September.

Small groups are a vital ministry at First Presbyterian. Everyone needs deep community, and that cannot happen in a crowd on Sunday. It is in community that disciples are formed, faith is deepened, and people care for one another. Here are a few of the current small groups at FPC. Other groups exist but are currently full. However, we are constantly launching new small groups. If you'd like to form a new small group, we can help you accomplish that and establish a vibrant and healthy community that will speak life into your life.

Our vision is to have every member and attendee be connected to a small group of believers with whom they can: Fellowship, Share deeply from their lives, show mutual care for one another, break both the Living Bread and physical bread together, pray for one another, have fun and do ministry together.

Heartwood Life Group

TEMPORARILY ON HOLD

Check back for details as COVID restrictions are lifted.

Every Third Sunday at 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm

Heartwood is a life group for young adults between 20 and 50 years old. This group meets on the third Sunday of the month from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm with a potluck dinner and childcare provided. Be prepared for member leadership, which means that everyone is a leader and will have a chance to facilitate the group time. This is an opportunity to meet with young adults who are seeking authentic community inside and outside of the church walls. First Presbyterian Church wants to equip its young members to be a “light to the nations” (Acts 13:47).

The “heartwood” is the core and strength of the living tree. We long to have our roots grow deep into the truth of God’s word and sustaining the cornerstone of his church. As our branches spread, our prayer is that we bend in the direction of his leading as we raise our children, grow in our careers, develop our skills and passions, grow in our marriages, strive toward our calling, and follow the path at our feet.

If you have spent a little time journeying on life’s road but hope towards future years of learning, we welcome you to be a part of our group. Our goal is to become like the early church and work together to become the hands and feet of Jesus to our families, community, Klamath Falls, country, and world.

“For so the Lord has commanded us, ‘I have placed you as a light to the nations, so that you may bring salvation to the end of the earth.” Acts 13:47 (TLV)
